Sheena Anderson

Sheena is the founder of Footsteps Occupational Therapy Practice. With over 40 years experience of working as an Occupational Therapist, she spent 30 of these working in paediatrics across community settings, social services and private practice.

The Practice has always been at the heart of the family and Sheena set up with the philosophy that she wanted to create a space that she would have been happy to bring her children to.

Sheena has continued her professional development, completing many additional training courses to ensure that the assessments and interventions we provide are evidence based and up to date practice. This includes using specialist equipment such as the Therapeutic Listening Programme and relevant standardised assessments that inform our comprehensive assessments.

Sarah Anderson

Sarah qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2012 and went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in Systemic Family Practice in 2019. Sarah has experience of working in the NHS, social care and the charity sector, alongside ongoing involvement in the Footsteps Practice.

Having always had a love of the countryside, she moved to a small holding in Devon in late 2015 and a few years later, the rest of the family followed (it’s a family business as we said!).

Sarah has always believed that the outdoors/nature/the wilderness is a powerful therapeutic tool and she runs the outdoor therapy side of Footsteps.
